Standard Terms and Conditions
Payment can be made by Cash / Cheque / Credit or Debit Card.
Credit invoices shall be settled within 30 days from the date of purchase.
Payments in relation to this agreement shall be made to the company’s principal place of business at:
Hunter & Co. PLC, No. 45/75, Narahenpita Road, Colombo 05.
Goods returned under warranty shall be accompanied by the warranty card issued by the company and shall be returned to:
Hunter & Co. PLC, Service Centre, No. 395, Darley Road, Colombo 10.
Goods once sold will not be taken back.
Goods sold are accepted in good condition.
WARRANTY / EQUIPMENT PROTECTION POLICY
Under the equipment protection policy, Hunter & Company PLC will repair or replace, without charge, any part which it considers defective in manufacture or workmanship within the specified period from the date of purchase, subject to the conditions below:
WARRANTY SHALL BE NULL AND VOID IF:
The product has been tampered with by any person other than an authorised Hunter employee or its franchise agent.
The appliance is used for any purpose other than that for which it is intended.
The serial or chassis number of the product or warranty card is defaced or altered.
The company will not be liable for any carriage risks or costs relating to transportation to and from the factory/service centre, or for labour charges related to installation of repaired/replaced parts.
The warranty card must be presented at the time of claim; no claims will be entertained without it.
The warranty is invalid if the signature of the authorised representative/dealer does not appear.
Warranty covers only manufacturing defects and excludes general wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by abuse.
The warranty does not cover consumables or parts subject to normal wear.
Electrical products: damage caused by excessive voltage fluctuation is not covered.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS (ENGINE-DRIVEN PRODUCTS)
Warranty is void if the machine has not been serviced correctly.
The machine has been used for improper purposes or modified in any way.
Unsuitable lubricants or fuels have been used.
Non-original spare parts or accessories have been fitted.
Work has been carried out by unauthorised personnel.
The warranty does not cover preparation or servicing work required during the warranty period.
WARRANTY ACTIVATION
Customers are advised to activate their warranty immediately upon purchase by registering the purchase details (invoice number, date, make/model) with the service staff.
